Dear Spartan Staff, Faculty, and Community,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Assistant Principal of Riverdale Middle School.  I am honored to have the opportunity to help lead a school with such a committed team of educators, dedicated staff, great scholars, and a supportive school community.  I feel very fortunate to be part of the Spartan Nation Community and to provide super-sized service and support to staff and scholars that lead to success.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than fourteen years. I started my career as a paraprofessional at the Georgia Network of Emotional and Therapy Support (GNETS - Ash Street).
I then went on to become an interrelated teacher at Kendrick Middle. I matriculated to General Education to teach Social Studies and have a greater impact on positive scholar outcomes. As a General Education Teacher, I have had the pleasure and experience of serving as Grade Level Chair, Department Chair, and Academic Coach. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educator and leader to Riverdale Middle School and to work with you as a committed partner in education.

I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Riverdale Middle School this year and in the years to come. Most importantly, I  believe that scholars are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experiences, my insatiable appetite to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our scholars. I am beyond excited to meet all of you.

Humbly Submitted in Service and Support,

Donald L. Williams, Assistant Principal
