Magnet Application Assistance Days

The purpose of the Application Assistance Days is to engage with parents on a one-to-one basis. Parents will be able to ask any questions they have on the submission of an application. We ask that parents arrive with the appropriate documents that will be needed to complete the application onsite.  All event dates will have interpreting services for French, Spanish, and Vietnamese families.

  • November 9, 2024: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Virginia Burton Gray Recreation Center 1475 E Fayetteville Rd, Riverdale, GA 30296)

  • December 2, 2024: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Clayton County Public Schools International Center - Maddox Plaza Shopping Center, 2260 Old Rex Morrow Rd, Morrow, GA 30260)

  • February 1, 2025: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (S. Truett Professional Learning Center 1087 Battle Creek Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30236)

  • February 13, 2025: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM (South Clayton Recreation Center 1837 McDonough Rd, Hampton, GA 30228)

  • February 26, 2025: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Sonna Singleton Gregory Senior Center 3215 Anvil Block Road Ellenwood, GA 30294)

Current CCPS Students - No documents are needed. 

Non-CCPS Students - Please bring the following documents with you.

  1. Two proofs of residency

  2. Unofficial Transcripts - Include current school year report card(s)

  3. Assessment Results

School Choice Fairs/Events

The purpose of the School Choice Fair is to give parents an opportunity to learn about the various School Choice options in Clayton County. All event dates will have interpreting services for French, Spanish, and Vietnamese families. The School Choice Department seeks to reach families from all areas of the county. Therefore, additional locations have been added.

  • October 19, 2024: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM   (Morrow High School 4930 Steele Rd. Ellenwood, GA 30294) 

  • February 1, 2025: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (S. Truett Professional Learning Center 1087 Battle Creek Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30236)

 

Transportation

School Choice magnet program students receive transportation to the designated school if they reside more than one and one-half (1-1/2) miles from the school and live within a designated Choice school transportation zone. Students who live outside of the magnet school transportation zone may attend the magnet school if they provide their own transportation to and from school or go to the nearest designated shuttle bus stop pick-up locations for the School Choice program. Available shuttle bus stops are listed online. Transfer students (special permission) must provide their transportation.

NON-RESIDENT STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION.
